I purchased the Countryfile annual subscription as a xmas present, believing that I would save myself some time by buying from Amazon. This was however, not the case. I was sent a little pack with an authorisation code, which I had then to supposedly enter on the bbcs Countryfile website,…this did not work, I had to telephone Amazon who gave me a phone number to ring, this did not work,…and in the end I had to send the subscription pack off via Royal Mail to secure the subscription,…as a result of all this we have missed the February issue,…and the subscription has begun with the March issue,…
I would have used the suggested weblink in the gift pack but each time I tried, it wanted my card payment details, so that payment could be taken, when I had already paid for it via Amazon. However, the gift recipient is happy with the magazine,…so perhaps all the hassle has been worth it, if a little long winded.

The low rating is not for the magazine itself but for the faffing around trying to activate the subscription via the given web addreess. After sweveral phone calls and being given the supposed correct address this still did not work.
Will have to get someone to fill out the card for me as I cannot do this myself due to MS, and send it in the post.
Please please please Amazon If you are going to sell magazine subscriptions then get this sorted out! I for one won’t be bothering again.
The price may have been slightly lower but the time wasted and sheer frustation was not jutified by the saving
